This is my sixth update to my 10,000 Euros/month goal. I missed the December update, and some people thought I was abandoning my goal. But instead, I’m still here :D
What I did in January
I’ve been working hard on both this blog and in another product. The result is that this blog has grown a lot (thanks), and that I also have my first product to offer. Don’t worry, it’s not a guide about how to make money. Instead, I focused on my programming skills and created a web application for bloggers where they can keep of comments and monitor and improve their marketing strategy. It’s a great tool and some people are already using it.
So if you are a blogger or you leave lots of comments, here’s the deal. I’m offering you access for three weeks to all the features of the application, so you can try it out. After that, you can decide if you want to keep an account for a small one time payment. If you are interested, just send me an email using the contact form in this website.
Aside from this side business, I’m still experimenting with internet marketing techniques, and I’m building a few assets. I expect to see some results within 3-6 months in these areas, as they take time to mature.
Lesson learned
The biggest lesson I leaned this month is that by really applying the 20% rule I can achieve great results. By working every day on my most important goals I’m moving forward at a great rate.
Show me the money
This month I earned $110 , which is not much, but is all from passive income. The real money will come when my businesses will grow. That’s when I expect to see more revenues.
What I plan to do in February
This month I’ll continue working on my new application, and I’ll start doing some marketing, despite it’s still in beta. I also want to create one new website for my internet marketing experiments.

I’m with you. Like you, I have some goals too. I will be passing an Accounting Entrance exam, Earning $1000 half yearly from my blog and yes, I’ll be on to a new home in a new city.
For now, that’ all my goals are. 43things.com comes in handy to track myself and my progress.

Even if $110 doesn’t seem like a lot now, think of how much you’ve already grown and how much potential you have left. Your monthly updates are probably my favorite posts to read, and for a blog that started (if I remember correctly) as a way for you to practice your English and improve your writing ability, it’s certainly become very popular!
I’ve recently set aside 2 hours each morning to simply write about whatever is on my mind, and an hour to network and reach out to other blog owners. So far the results have been phenomenal, both because it’s something I truly enjoy, and because it’s helped me meet some great people.

Congrats O!
You’re indeed growing nicely! I’m going to work really hard in Feb myself and try get out another 10 guest posts. After that I want to see the inpact and effect of it and if it is not what I desire (500 new readers from 10 posts) then I’m going to follow another strategy of marketing my blog.
I made $402 in January, not great but it’s slowly growing.
Cheers!

Hey Oscar:
Well, you have made 110 more than I did in “passive” income. So congratulations and keep going! I will be glad once I make my first dime! :)
Best,
Tomas

Hey Tomas, I believe it’s a matter of trying until you hit something that works, and then repeat again. I’m trying several things at the moment, but I put a lot of effort in my web application, which I hope it’ll be useful.

Congrats, Oscar.
I was wondering how come you are always among the first commenters on some blogs I read. I’ll probably opt in for the app.

Hey Tom, I’ll send you an invitation so you can see for yourself. Also keep in mind that I spend very little time commenting, as my time is often very limited.

I always look forward to these posts to see the progress you’re making. Would like to hear more about the assets you are building and the strategies you are testing in future posts.

Hey Mike, sure I’ll talk more about that in future updates.

Hi Oscar.
It is a good thing that you continue this series with an update.
To those who are interested in using the comment application, I would tell you that it is quite cool. It makes it easier to keep track of various sites, and any application that makes something easier fulfills a role.
Analyzing the past month, and speaking of future plans, is something most don’t do, and signals real progress.
